The Samsung Q-Series HW-Q990F is a premium home-theatre soundbar system engineered to deliver immersive, room-filling audio for movies, television, music, and gaming. With 11.1.4-channel sound and 756 W of rated audio output, it combines a wide front soundstage, dedicated surround channels, overhead audio effects, and deep bass to create a cinematic listening experience at home.
Its system includes a main soundbar, a wireless subwoofer, and two wireless rear speakers. The rear speakers feature upward-firing drivers, helping reproduce overhead effects alongside the soundbar’s own height channels. Unlike conventional soundbars that rely primarily on virtual surround processing, the Q990F provides dedicated physical rear speakers for a more enveloping surround experience.
With Dolby Atmos and DTS-compatible audio processing, supported content can deliver convincing directional effects, from dialogue and background ambience to overhead movement and action sequences. Wireless Dolby Atmos can also transmit compatible audio from supported Samsung TVs over Wi-Fi, reducing cable clutter.
The redesigned compact subwoofer incorporates dual 8-inch active drivers and AI-based nonlinear control technology to deliver impactful bass while helping reduce distortion. This adds weight and depth to cinematic explosions, musical basslines, and other low-frequency effects.
Samsungs Q-Symphony technology allows the soundbar to work in coordination with compatible Samsung TV speakers. SpaceFit Sound Pro analyses the room and adjusts the audio, while Adaptive Sound optimises playback according to the content. Active Voice Amplifier Pro helps make dialogue more intelligible when background noise becomes distracting.
For gaming and everyday use, the Q990F includes Game Pro mode, Night Mode, Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth, AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and SmartThings integration. HDMI 2.1 connectivity with 4K/120 Hz passthrough makes it suitable for compatible gaming consoles and modern televisions.
Combining powerful audio, physical rear speakers, advanced room calibration, and flexible connectivity, the Samsung Q990F is designed for users who want a premium, immersive home-cinema system without installing a traditional receiver-based speaker setup.
